Timucuan Science and History Symposium
Timucuan Parks Foundation is partnering with the National Park Service and Talbot Islands State Parks for the 8th Timucuan Science and History Symposium. The full-day event will be held Friday, Jan. 31 at the Ribault Club on Fort George Island. It is designed to showcase the connection between the natural and cultural resources within the Timucuan Ecological and Historic Preserve.
The symposium will begin at 8 a.m. with registration, networking, and a light breakfast and will include five sessions that focus on the scientific, historical, cultural, and archaeological research being done in the Timucuan Ecological and Historic Preserve.
The event is open to anyone with an interest in learning more about the Timucuan Ecological and Historic Preserve and networking with local scientists, historians, and environmental organizations. The cost for students with college or school identification is $15 and general registration is $45. A light breakfast and lunch will be provided.
