Invasive Plant Removal Workday

Saturday, March 21, 2020, 9:00 AM

Help restore natural habitat and help protect native species by removing invasive, non-native plants from the park. Ravine Gardens State Park is looking for volunteers to join us in removing invasive plant species from our park. Removing invasive plants will help keep native plants healthy and allow them to thrive. No special experience or skills required. All ages welcomed. Scouts and Youth Groups welcome. High Schoolers – this is a great way to earn community service hours for school! Dress for working outdoors, wear closed-toed shoes, and if you have them bring work gloves and a water bottle. Staff will meet volunteers in front of the Civic Center. Registration is optional. For more information please contact (386) 329-3721 or visit www.FloridaStateParks.org. Have a group that would like to come out and volunteer, but cannot make it on this date? Contact Paige Jones at Monica.P.Jones@FloridaDEP.gov to find out how you can schedule a volunteer work day for your group.
